RECREATIONAL RIDING WITH JOY OF LIFE - THE FUNDAMENTALS FOR A PLAYFUL AND...
Back cover:
The young rider Maya and the horse Windy are the best of friends. Windy curiously observes everything happening around him, including the funny exercises his two-legged friend does, as horses, of course, don't need to practice falling. So, when does the fun finally begin for them both? A thrilling surprise unfolds when Maya brings out a drum, and to the rhythm of its beats, the gentle observer Windy suddenly transforms into a wild dancer! He spins around, one joyful leap after another. The impressive pictures clearly show the immense fun he's having. Mutual trust connects the drummer and the dancer. Beyond the fun, this is the deeper principle behind the exercise, as horses can be very skittish due to their flight animal nature. The experiences playfully gained with environmental stimuli build mutual trust, allowing Windy to overcome his shyness and trust in Maya's correct guidance. This respectful interaction enables fast, focused, and consistent learning. Through the many charming landscape images, riders can find inspiration and be captivated by Windy and Maya's happiness. The foundational requirements for this shared happiness—being able to ride safely and precisely through open terrain—are provided by Creative Riding Techniques. This is a collection of methods based on the fundamental principle of working with the horse as a natural flight animal, respecting its instincts and herd behavior. Horses originally derive their trust from experienced lead animals and desire to be guided. With imagination and empathy, every rider can use these methods to strengthen mutual trust and apply it to their personal relationship with their horse. Whether on paths, meadows, or in the forest, the horse dream and its challenges await riders everywhere. This book aims to be one of the many possible keys to unlocking the gate to this dream.
Foreword:
Confidence is the foundation of friendship. Getting to know each other well is the foundation of trust. Friendship means responding to each other's needs. This book describes a way for you to build confidence through trust and respect. This is the confidence you need to go out into the countryside with a master runner – your horse – at eye level and have a lot of fun.
The exercises and creative riding techniques listed in this book arose from the desire to be able to ride safely, precisely, and without a saddle, using only a bridle, in the countryside. After more than a decade of practice and experience with many different horses, it has been shown that they can be applied in every leisure riding situation. By practicing these techniques and applying them, horse lovers of all ages can come a gallop closer to their dream of riding with their empathetic and sensitive, yet strong and fast, partner with joy in the countryside and across meadows without a saddle and with a bridle.
Windy the horse prefers to present himself in his natural beauty. He also likes to be ridden without a saddle, which is why all photos of Windy and his rider Maya are without a saddle. Sitting directly on the horse gives you the wonderful feeling of "becoming one with your horse." However, the exercises and signals described here can also be applied by you with a bridle, saddle, or riding pad.
IMPORTANT: A helmet protects your head from serious injuries. It's always best to wear a helmet when riding!
